the location was great! the breakfast room was on the first floor. the food was tasty with generous portions. the hotel was super clean and the furnishings were comfortable.
the cooked breakfasts did not taste wonderful, maybe because of the oil used? i would prefer bottled mineral water in the room. tap water was bottled instead. the parking bay was reserved for ÂŁ10.

the hotel provided onsite parking. it was festival season so i appreciated that. our room was quite large and the bed was very comfortable. i slept very well that night.
the breakfast was disappointing. i expected an array of cereals fruit yoghurts breads and pastries to help myself to. sadly the breakfast was not up to scratch

the hotel is made up of several houses that have been combined. some of these houses are located just across the road. this gives the hotel a quirky and fun atmosphere.

Stepping through the lobby, I was immediately struck by the beautiful and friendly reception area. It was light and airy. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional and helpful. They greeted us always with a smile.
My room was cold on arrival. I did turn on the radiator, it warm up slowly. The shower room never did get warm at all. The duck leg was nicely cooked, it wasn't crispy.

runny eggsmusty smell
breakfast was not great. i ordered scrambled eggs, but they were very runny and almost cold, not what i expected. also, the room smelled a bit musty when i first got there. i opened the window, but the smell persisted all stay. it wasn't the best experience, really.

The breakfast was not a highlight. The eggs were overcooked each morning. i was also disappointed i had to choose between fruit and yogurt. i'd have expected a wider selection, like pastries, at a hotel. this lack of variety made breakfast a bit underwhelming.
